Another former X-been but now a little more anonymous. Pokémon TCG WAG & Mom. Mostly here for sports commentary. #gostanford Less nerdy in person I promise.
I continue to be baffled by how @play.pokemon.com just changes major rules in the middle of the season and right before major events. I feel for EUIC players.

Will never understand why @playpokemon.bsky.social TCG imposes penalties after the matches. Match should be closed out with no more overnight DQs, terrible for all involved.

We all agree that walking Ohtani when you've got Betts, Freeman and Smith next is still insane, right?

I love that Stanford now has a transitive win over Bama 😎

Shohei Ohtani did it. Again.

And I think the main thing this class doesn't get right now is that the left feels a greater urgency to fight the Democratic establishment than it does the Republicans because it can't fight the latter with the former as it currently stands

Don't mess with great AP teachers y'all. Their students and parents will move mountains for them.
A Florida high school teacher has been fired for using a student's chosen name instead of their deadname, a first under a 2023 law signed by Ron DeSantis. “She is a beloved teacher that changed her students’ lives” said one parent leading a petition with 7,400 signatures demanding her reinstatement

It's bad when I 100% agree with Rand Paul
Rand Paul: "The whole [tariffs] debate is so fundamentally backwards & upside down. It's based on a fallacy & the fallacy is this: that somehow in a trade, someone must lose. That somehow when you trade with someone, someone is taking advantage of you... I have a trade deficit with my grocery store"

Cory Booker now using hour 23 of his filibuster to say he deserved more targets for a 5-6 Stanford team in 1990. "I had better hands than Ed McCaffrey," he tells Congress. "And let me tell you: there's a reason John Lynch didn't play QB in the NFL."
