I hear a lot of things.
Unexpected excitement in my Quality Book Club edition of E.S. Turner’s Call the Doctor: A Social History of Medical Men.

I’ve listened to it while at the library and am pleased to confirm that it is also library music in that sense.
This is my new album.

It's instrumental, apart from some crowd chanting on Your Gold, Mr Bridger.

The average tune length is two minutes and eight seconds.

There are fourteen tunes.

It sounds like old telly music.

It's ace.

I'd love it if you listened.

I've love it even more if you shared it.

Did you know you can buy my FULL digital discography over at Bandcamp? From the 2012 single, Searching For The Summer, right up to this year's Library Music, it's a wild ride from an artist who can't make his mind up. Spiky Mod stuff, power-pop, disco, experimental synth work and library music.

It would be really cool to see some of this *actually* being used like library music in a film or on TV. 'Jaunty Jack' is my favourite.
My little instrumental album was supposed to be go live on Saturday, so my Patreon patrons could have the first listen this week. Anyway, maybe I don't understand Bandcamp properly as it appears to be already on my page. What can you do?

The Jam’s Direction Reaction Creation features a different Rickenbacker leaning against an amp on every disc. Horrifying.
If you grew up being told this by every single older guitar player, seeing the Beatles leave their guitars leaning against the drum riser and so on sets your teeth on edge. “BUT YOUR RICKENBACKER WILL BE ALL BENT, JOHN LENNON!”

Hang on, that’s what I use this for.
Maybe I should write a diary. You know? Weird shit that only I get to see
Do you ever get stuff which is so annoying that you can't really put it on social media, but it definitely does belong somewhere out there... can you remind me where that is?

I didn’t get where I am today by not endorsing Tony Molina.
Going to join the chorus regarding this; listening now and it’s completely brilliant.
#NowPlaying I saw a post by @iammilliam.bsky.social saying how much he liked this album, so I took a chance and ordered a copy. It is just fabulous. 21 beautiful & breezy pop songs in 22 minutes! Beatles, Lemonheads, Big Star, The Byrds & Lilys all popped into my head as I listened.

I agree that a TV critic should have a working knowledge of why Friends was fucking horrific and its creators and audience should have been ejected into space.

I’d always uncritically accepted the “Love underperformed commercially because Arthur wouldn’t tour” narrative but as Johnny Echols points out, much of the US wouldn’t have booked “a bunch of race mixing California hippies” in 1966 in any event, so I feel like an idiot now.
