I hope this draws the Jesus Christians further into the fray. I'm so tired of the self- serving, heartless, Pharisee, country club version. If God cries, what's happening now is enough to cause it.

When protesting in Music City, of course we have to take time out to turn up the music and do the Wobble.

Yeah, for those well-meaning people trying to put down the rising fascists, please stop using the word c*nt, which is usually a slur based on being like a woman. May I suggest "infected hemorrhoid" or "boil on a rabid rat's ass" as alternatives? Thanks for your support.

This is the enemy. See it with eyes open. Do not ignore the signs. Honestly, I don't know what else to say.

Henry Rollins is a kick-ass unicorn
Maybe corny but it was helpful for me to hear Henry Rollins saying "this is not time to be dismayed, this is punk rock time, this is what Joe Strummer trained you for... You can be thunderous in your own life, to the eight people around you. That rubs off... Goodness is viral"

Where are all the tech White Hats that I've heard about so long? We definitely need a posse of them out there hacking against the Muskovites instead of for them. Use your power for good!

Planning for the new year is bringing up some surprising and exciting twists and turns for me. It feels like an opportunity to reclaim some things from pre-Covid days that have lingered on over time. I'm stepping more fully into myself and my life this year. I wish that for all of you as well.

So true. Same with writing songs.
Monthly reminder: Many people have a book in them, but it takes a special kind of freak to leave the Land of Laziness, cross the Plains of Procrastination and Insecurity Mountain, find the Blade of No One Made You Do This, and use it to cut your chest open and yank that book out.

Good advice from Tom Nichols. In addition to not "obeying in advance" he says, "I might add a corollary here: People should not panic and exhaust themselves in advance, either." I needed to hear that cuz I'm already worn out. Gift read. @radiofreetom.bsky.social www.theatlantic.com/newsletters/...

There was a young Eastern European male vocalist who put out a series of albums in the 90s and only vocalized in an ethereal voice without using actual words. Ring a bell for anyone? I think his first name was John.
