where do i find the masks i wear?
• BonaFide Masks
• WellBeforeHQ
• Dräger
• BeHealthyUSA
• BNX
• ЗМ
• MaskC
• CambridgeMaskCo
+ buying directly from distributors (some use amazon) is the best way to avoid less than quality product
Many folks are returning to masking regularly as US healthcare infrastructure shudders under corruption and collapse; as you find the one that works for you, have you ever tried these ones? What’s your favorite mask? How do you style it?

remove data
sow doubt in vaccines
charge for them
remove telehealth access
terminate disease funding
stigmatize then & masks
get you sicker and sicker

because it’s cheaper for them if you die

don’t you see?
now are you ready to protect your & your communities health?

I bring a “wearing a mask is one of the fastest, easiest, most immediate ways you can fight fascism” vibe to conversations that folks who don’t mask and know it’s wrong reeeeally dislike.

The immediate cessation of responses is always so telling. 🙃

Minnesota declared a state of emergency after three viral infections were detected at commercial farms, indicating a widespread bird flu outbreak which will result in an even larger egg shortage.

Yes, what every college professor I know, including me, have been saying for a long time now. This is a genuinely lost cohort, angry, lacking basic social skills and a sitting target for fascist appeals. As a society we failed to help them navigate social re-entry and the price is incredibly high.
"In a few years, what we’ve grown accustomed to calling Generation Z may reveal itself to contain a subgroup: Generation C, COVID-affected and, for now, strikingly conservative."

I still can’t believe having to mask temporarily during a global pandemic broke so many people.

It’s been 5 years & they’re still irrationally angry at the sight of a mask.

They’ve abandoned all sense of self preservation and community care, and lives will continue to be lost because of it.

it's never too late to start masking up in public again! in addition to being an important way to be in solidarity, it will also drastically reduce the sickness you experience regularly. (I for one am pretty excited about not having the flu for 5 solid years!)
COVID-19 levels remain high in the U.S. as our longer-than-usual winter surge continues. We’re also seeing a record-high seasonal flu season, as concerns about the bird flu H5N1 continue to grow. bit.ly/40YZ4QS

1. This time last year, the US had only ever recorded 1 human infection with #H5N1 #birdflu, in 2022. With the confirmation of an infection in a Nevada dairyworker, there've now been 69 confirmed cases in 11 states.

Genuinely, try to name for me a form of oppression that doesn’t result in, or amplify the impacts of disability.

Spoiler: you can’t.

If you care about healthcare, abolition, housing, workers rights, bodily autonomy - if you care about liberation you need to include disability justice.

People who don’t include disability liberation in their understanding of social justice will never make sense to me.

Like what do you MEAN you oppose sexism, racism, and classism, but the minute the lived reality of that oppression starts showing up physically, all your energy just evaporates?

Important #H5N1 updates to be aware of 🧵
1/The bird flu crisis in the U.S. is escalating, with 81 new cases of highly pathogenic avian flu (H5N1) detected in wild birds across 24 states. A new strain, H5N9, has also emerged, raising concerns about virus reassortment.🧪

Bird flu crisis enters new phase
While the developments may not raise the risk of a pandemic, they could create more havoc for farmers, worsen egg shortages and expose surveillance gaps.

let wearing a mask in your day to day bond you with others—you’re protecting them & hopefully they you—as you work through obligations & deadlines while previously solid structures collapse around you.

it is an overwhelming, exhausting time to be alive; eschew embarrassment, lead with solidarity 😷✊🏻

Here's the 2025 Vision Board I made at the library earlier this month.

"Pursue the fullness and intensity of resistance" reminds me to rest, care, and dance.

"Moving at the speed of trust" reminds me that relationships are built over time, and to build something is an action.

this helped me take a deep breath, and set down my phone to go get some water and connect with my family giggling in the living room
What we do to cope with current events may seem useless compared to the scale of national bs, but I've learned from my intersectionality-focused rural community leaders that change is slow. We need patience, connection, care, & a willingness to challenge each other to make life better for all.

One of the easiest, most visible ways to resist is to mask

Safeguarding your health is more important than ever. It’s easier to fight back when you’re not chronically ill

It shows you care about disabled & marginalized individuals

It tells government you won’t be complicit in the harm of others
