Mike Johnson has given control of the House over to Donald Trump. By refusing to enforce Congress's appropriation powers, there is no end to the shutdown in sight. The House hasn't been in session for almost 2 months. This is unacceptable.

Police escalated the situation here in Broadview incredibly quickly. Saw multiple brutal arrests. ISP jabbing protesters with their batons like battering rams.

@govpritzker.illinois.gov should take back control of the Illinois Guard and order them to protect Illinois and protesters from ICE.

If, and it's a big, if the Dems can take the House in 26, I'd like to see 3 bills put forth immediately: Stop the trading of individual stocks by Congress, Uncap the House, claw back tarrif control. These are all widely popular issues that can be campaigned on in 2028.
