I plan to incorporate nutrition into my future healthcare role by providing evidence-based guidance that supports long-term healthy habits. I’ll listen to each person’s needs and help them set realistic goals so nutrition can improve their health and overall well-being. #beh353

Cutting programs that help families access food doesn’t improve nutrition, it makes it harder for people to meet basic needs. Strong nutrition starts with affordability and access. When support is reduced, hunger rises and health outcomes get worse, not better. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

I’m most looking forward to eating homemade mashed potatoes this Thanksgiving, simple, cozy, and always my favorite. I love how creamy they get with a little butter and garlic. That's the one dish I always go back for seconds on! #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

The study shows how family affluence can buffer kids from obesity risks, but it also highlights why evidence-based nutrition info is essential. Clear, factual guidance helps all families make healthier choices, even when their environment or resources differ. #beh353

www.who.int/news-room/fa... I chose the WHO article because it’s globally trusted, science-based, easy to understand, and focuses on practical, universally applicable nutrition advice without promoting any fad diets or products. This is good for anyone to eat well.

Tom’s story connects ti this because ultraprocessed foods once fueled his weight struggles and health risks. By replacing fast food binges with a consistent, balanced meal, he showed how reducing UPFs can lower Type 2 diabetes risk and support long-term healthy habits. #beh353

Tom’s story showed me that lasting change comes from consistency, not perfection. For example, his daily Chick-fil-A salad habit turned a small choice into a lifestyle. I’ll remind future clients that sustainable routines matter more than strict diets or restrictions. #beh353

It’s fascinating how sleep and circadian rhythms connect to obesity. Staying on permanent Standard Time could help regulate hormones that control hunger and metabolism, showing that consistent, quality sleep is a key but overlooked part of preventing obesity. #beh353

“Permanent Standard Time (not springing ahead in March) could prevent 300,000 cases of stroke per year and lower nationwide prevalence of obesity by 2.6 million.” #DitchDST

One fact that stuck with me is that fat shaming doesn’t motivate people to lose weight—it actually increases stress and leads to weight gain. Moving forward, I’ll keep using positive, supportive language about health and body image. #beh353

This recipe helps overcome barriers to healthful eating by showing that nutritious meals can also be affordable, filling, and culturally diverse. Using simple, traditional ingredients like pumpkin and peanuts makes healthy eating more accessible and flavorful. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

A barrier I relate to is lack of time for meal preparation. Between classes, studying, and extracurriculars, I often skip cooking and grab snacks or quick meals instead. Even when I want to eat healthier, it’s hard to plan and prep with such a busy schedule. #beh353

Claims like those for Pineal Guardian should be approached carefully since there’s limited scientific evidence that such supplements protect against fluoride or improve memory. It’s best to rely on research-backed guidance and consult healthcare professionals first. #beh353
@beh353.bsky.social
Who should take Pineal Guardian?

So I would say just people with memory problems and signs of cognitive decline. But now more than 200 million Americans are exposed to toxic fluoride in their drinking water and this needs to be highlighted for public awareness.

I read about vitamin D supplements and learned how they support bone health and immunity, especially in people with limited sun exposure. Many adults are deficient, so taking vitamin D can help maintain strong bones and reduce the risk of certain illnesses. #beh353

Pulses such as beans, lentils, and chickpeas are now seen as top protein sources. They’re rich in nutrients, low in fat, and support digestive and heart health. This post proves that promoting pulses highlights sustainable eating and reduces reliance on other proteins. #beh353

I looked into the keto diet and was surprised how cutting carbs puts the body into ketosis, burning fat for fuel instead of glucose. It seems effective short-term, but I wonder—what are the long-term effects on heart health and nutrient balance? #beh353

This is relatable to my post this week. It reminded me of how whole grains can serve as substitutes for rice flour or other sources of carbohydrates. Whole grains have many more healthy nutrients and fibers, which is why they would be such a good healthy alternative. #beh353

One of my usual food choices is a turkey sandwich. To make it more nutrient dense, I can switch from white bread to whole grain for more fiber, add spinach and tomatoes for vitamins, and use hummus instead of mayo for protein. These small switches will do a lot. #beh353

This is really interesting to me. A lot of these are in our daily diets, so it is really important. Most of these such as cholesterol and glucose are necessary to maintain good health. It is good to see this in this format with the numbers. #beh353

I chose this post because it relates to carbohydrates. If you see the nutrition facts/label, there is 6g of total carbohydrates. This is like many foods as carbohydrates are in almost every food we eat as they are necessary for the human body to function which is really interesting. @beh353 #beh353
Peanuts pack a punch: they’re rich in manganese, niacin, folate, vitamin B1, and protein. Fun fact: it takes about 540 peanuts to make a 12-oz jar of peanut butter! #NationalPeanutDay #Peanuts anextraordinary-day.blogspot.com/2016/09/sept...

A fun fact about carbohydrates is that it is the human body's preferred source of energy. For example, the human brain needs glucose which is a carbohydrate to function properly. Memory and concentration are functions of the brain that can be negatively affected without carbs. @beh353 #beh353

Nutrition science is very important. One thing that stood out to me was the fact that results of a study do not apply to everyone in the same way. Each person is different in their own ways. Every study is just one little part of a very complex story, and each study keeps building. @beh353 #beh353

I am a sophomore, and my major is pre-med on the LECOM BS/DO pathway. I needed to take a behavioral science elective, and this seemed interesting. Is Diet Coke actually zero calories? One word I associate with healthy eating is balance. My favorite food is chicken alfredo. @beh353 #beh353
