It’s not perfect but New Orleans’ crime is way down and it is generally a city where strangers will call you “baby” and share food with you even when they’re broke, but I guess it’s a flex to beg an aspiring tyrant to approve the deployment of uniformed 20 yr olds to stand around looking confused
Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry: "Tonight, we're sending the Department of War a request to send the National Guard, asking them to deploy the National Guard here in Louisiana into our cities like New Orleans and Baton Rogue and others."

Instead of “Alligator Alcatraz” or “Alligator Auschwitz”, let me suggest that we call it simply the Dade-Collier Concentration Camp.

Hang the name on Florida. Make them own this disgraceful moment in U.S. history. Make our grandchildren lobby to change the name of Dade County out of shame.

Perhaps it should be circulated further still ?
Seth Rogen said President Trump had “single-handedly destroyed all of American science” while presenting an award at the Breakthrough Prize ceremony — sometimes called the “Oscars of Science” — where Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg were in attendance. Rogen's comments were cut from the broadcast.

Amendment 2 failed by a margin of 186k votes. There are only 59K public school teachers in this state. So I don't think they were the difference between the amendment passing or failing. #lalege
One other note: Yesterday, Gov. Jeff Landry partly blamed teachers for Amendment 2 not passing, (though teachers unions endorsed it.)

Give the blowout on Amendment 2, I think it's hard to say teachers had much to do with it going down. #lalege
