"ai" art is like all of the fidelity in the surface rendering with none of the awareness or intent that turns it into an image that makes directional aesthetic sense. the only kind of art that isn't plagiarism

Great song that just completely falls apart at the halfway point. Starts fantastic ("those carats more like parsnips"), but Feng so obviously runs out of bar ideas so everything near the end is bottom of the barrel, e.g. "I'm an Asian kid, so my skin is yellow like Marge's"

I was thinking recently about how the British invasion writers extrapolated on the tradition of bold text in American superhero comics: Morrison uses it it to add mythic gravitas, but Peter Milligan's use of it gives his work a really specific cadence I love. If anything, I think its underutilised
i hate that comics bold certain words in the panels. it just makes them SCREAM in my brain and it's the main reason i don't read more comics. i have no idea why they do it.
Anyone have a particularly hot comic take?

“I Thought I Heard Your Voice Just Then” is a new eight-page comic drawn by @jlaguff.bsky.social and written by myself. You can read it below or purchase it on a pay-what-you-want basis on Itch.io (which I recommend, Bluesky compression being what it is):

'Le Pont du Labastide' (1905) is one of Henri Martin’s final divisionist paintings, a composition of monumental grandeur. What I admire about this work is that he does not sacrifice his subject matter in favour of balanced design or chromatic richness; it's a scene as he saw it.
