India has now electrified almost 100% of their tracks, a poorer country with vastly more track. Over half of that has happened in just the last decade. The UK's poverty of ambition by comparison is truly staggering (and sad...) earthbound.report/2025/02/03/i...

My e-bike has turned my hilly suburban East Richmond area into a 15-minute neighborhood. Post office, hardware store, 3+ groceries, Kaiser, gym, waterfront all in easy reach for this creaky 74 yo.

The only people who have spoiled the nature of this area were the mindless thugs who came to our homes last evening and created chaos.
I’ve never been scared by the asylum seekers. I’m terrified that the angry mob will return.
So, how do I get *my* country back from them? I’ve genuinely no idea

It shouldn't cost that though, this is supply and demand. HS2 will add (tens of?) thousands of seats per hour capacity, so prices will have to come down to be able to fill the trains up and still maximise overall revenue for the operator..
