She yelled and yelled and I looked back at her and realized, hmmm, some people really are just ugly. (3/3)

We raced go-karts and I cut this lady off causing her to hit me, but alas, I won the race! So proud of my victory, I was walking proud out of the course when the grown woman began accosting me for my “unsafe driving” and god knows what else—obviously bitter the victory I had stolen from her.

I once learned a powerful life lesson as I went to a go-kart park when I was 12. I was standing in line waiting and looked up to see a very ugly woman standing next to me. I thought to myself “you shouldn’t judge based off appearance—she’s probably a lovely person.”

Good. I don’t know how many people truly know that alcohol is carcinogenic!

I know Valentine’s Day gets a lot of criticism for being a Hallmark holiday, but I’ve always been a fan. I can’t think of something more worth celebrating than love. What a thing to admire and marvel at—love.

I believe it’s important to instill an appreciation of music in our children & that is precisely why we started our morning with a dance party to Bossy by Kelis.

I was today years old when I discovered the spelling of the phrase “ne’er do well” is such. IT IS “NEVER DO WELL”?!? I’m shook.

All those studies that show people’s New Year’s resolutions fizzle out…are they taking into account how sick we all are?! I don’t think it’s about lack of grit, I think it’s the flu.

Easily one of my greatest pet peeves is when instead of asking you if you’d like to do something, someone says “you should…”

You should find manners.

I’m at a video game competition/conference with one of the kids. It is amazing. Lots of “weirdos” (in the best way) just being themselves. This is the America I want to live in. I want people to be able to not fit in and find their own way.

Me to my 2yo daughter, who has started crying every morning when she wakes up: “You don’t have to cry every morning, I will come get you every day no matter what.”
Her, plainly: “No, I DO want to cry in my room.”

Guess that’s settled then.
