This impoundment jeopardizes after-school and summer programming for underprivileged children, support for migrant students, professional development for educators, resources for English language learners, and investments in classroom technology and facilities.
These funds, which constitute 10% or more of total federal K-12 funding for states and territories, were lawfully appropriated by Congress and are desperately needed by schools and families.
