When not working I strum my guitar, and fondle my synth. And then shoot a roll of film on a cheap vintage camera. Stupid curly hair. Books are great.
This is a very good book, I recommend spending £0.00 on it while you can.
FREE OFFER this weekend only: download my collection “The Glade and Other Stories,” described by reviewers as “powerful,” “macabre,” “truly funny” and “moving.” A dozen superb stories totally FREE. Offer ends Monday.

Tom Cox - @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social - writes some great stuff, here and on his website, and his books are really rather good. I recommend Ring The Hill. This is from his website www.tom-cox.com/robot-2/

Sure, the issue is mental health, not gun control. Specifically, the mental health of people opposing gun control.

Thanks for the reminder @janemunday.bsky.social. Every summer, I repost this article DROWNING DOES NOT LOOK LIKE DROWNING. To date, I know of FOUR kids who were saved after someone who'd clicked on the link learnt how to spot actual drowning. Take time to read and pass on.

Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning
Drowning is not the violent, splashing call for help that most people expect.

Currently reading 'Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell' for the first time. I'm enjoying it, but it's a bit slow. Is there a law that says fantasy books have to be a thousand pages long?

I was going up the Stretton hills today with cheese sandwiches and a camera, but I'm not because trains. Boo trains.

Since the world persists in being comprehensively shit I'm turning the internet off and reading a book (I think I'll re-read Pratchett's Night Watch) drinking a beer (Mad Goose) and listening to tunes (currently Lloyd Cole's first solo album)

I saw a new picture framing shop in the town centre a couple of days ago, and now I can't remember where it is. It's a small town centre, but I have no idea where this shop *could* be. Maybe it's a magical shop that appears and disappears.

Latest and last - for now -artwork from @mooseallain.bsky.social the long tailed tits with intense yellow background. They really brighten the room! Might swap the townsfolk about yet, and yes one is wonky. (The one at far right is from Gruff Rhys's Hotel Shampoo tour, not Moose)

Although it's a day off, I was still out of bed before 8. That's just wrong. I seem to have lost the knack of having a good waking-at-noon lie-in.

Just updated my profile with a new photo. Two things leap out at me: I need a shave, and Christ I look old. I'm sure I didn't look that old yesterday.

My latest @mooseallain.bsky.social original #art has arrived, hurrah! I've rearranged the Townsfolk to make room for something horizontal to go above, I'll see come payday what that is. Probably another Moose tbh. I find these really brighten my rather drab wall, and thus cheer me up

I think the last beer I had last night was probably too much, and I'm not sure about the one before that, either. I only have to look at a beer these days too get a four day hangover.

Two hours, and thousands of emails, into the email cull, and Gmail is still over half full,I think I've cleared 250Mb or so. I need a beer.
