Did they ferry from Juneau to Skagway, Haines, or Fort Rupert because Juneau isn’t connected to the road system.

It’s a fundraiser specifically for the shelter in town that has 55-beds with wrap-around services.
Local potters and woodturners donate bowls, local businesses donate soup, and there is a silent auctions of donated goods/services and desserts for the event (that happens once a year)
