Has the organization of Save Our Street, the rich NIMBYs who want to stop the Summit Avenue bike lane, said anything about the church they hold their meetings in being led by the director of the local ICE field office?

Shit is worse in Minneapolis post-Bovino. More harassment of observers than before. More following to homes. But the mutual aid/labor resistance hasn’t gone anywhere. We gotta do our part. All of us have to, as Mpls teacher Dan Troccoli said, “Not just appreciate but emulate.”

The only people who have died have been people exercising their constitutional rights while masked, armed federal paramilitaries have violently invaded an entire state to do a wholesale ethnic cleansing campaign.
Homan: "I begged for the last two months on TV for the rhetoric to stop. I said in March -- if the rhetoric doesn't stop, there is gonna be bloodshed. And there has been. I wish I wasn't right. I don't want to see anybody die."

We are winning, but the ethnic cleansing is continuing. We need to stay locked in and protect our neighbors.
The people of Minnesota have executed one of the most impressive civil resistance campaigns I can remember:

- Organized a city wide general strike
- Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence
- Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE
- Flipped public opinion against ICE

NEW: In a court hearing for a TRO against the feds in Minneapolis, the plaintiffs just said one of their exhibits contains a recording of a federal agent saying "Well, this person is gonna have a hard time traveling from now on" after taking a photo of an ICE observer's license plate. 1/

It feels appropriate that the best reporting from The Atlantic and The New York Times has been by seasoned war reporters who understand the stakes and, by extension, the need to protect sources or sensitive information.

I'm seeing mainstream news orgs around the country calling today's action in Minnesota a "protest of immigration enforcement."

Ridiculous framing. It's not a protest against legitimate immigration policy, it's a protest against a paramilitary occupation and ethnic cleansing campaign.

This martyr could be any of us. He is doing what so many of us have been trained to do. Standing and recording on his phone, trying to warn his neighbors, and now he’s dead because armed, masked federal paramilitaries are acting with impunity to perform ethnic cleansing.
Video before it happens is showing this guy they shot in the head in Minneapolis was just standing there videoing them before and they got out to push him back and then murder him.

ICE has now carried out two summary executions of innocent people in the streets of an American city.

If you work for ICE, there's no denying that's the mission you're supporting now. You don't get to claim in one year or ten or twenty that you didn't know what ICE was doing. You're complicit.

Only speaking personally, but today’s execution isn’t scaring me from protecting our neighbors, as some suggest is ICE’s goal. Nor am I angry with incandescent rage, in that I know such rage is unhelpful. Rather, I feel like it has forced me to truly accept that the same fate might befall me.

I don’t think people quite understand that the occupation by ICE in the Twin Cities has more or less erased non-white people from public life. They cannot safely exist in any space accessible to the public and moving between private places leaves folks vulnerable to kidnapping by armed masked goons.
