Russell GMs TTRPGs that (currently) include Blades in the Dark, Root, and other lesser-played RPGs. The Pendragon RPG from Chaosium is his current primary passion in this space.
I really can't stop gushing over this Pendragon campaign. We started just over a year ago, 26 sessions, 19 years in-game time. PCs are starting to age and children are growing older. I'm feeling a substantial sense of the passage of time. This timeline view is helps put the whole picture together.

Role-playing games are scavenger media, in which available materials -- whatever's at hand: stuff you've read, stuff you've experienced, stuff you're anxious about, stuff you wish would happen -- are then transformed into an emergent narrative via active engagement by one or more players.

Here's the full wrap-around of the cover of the Pendragon GM's Handbook, one of a set I did for the new edition of what is in my opinion one of the greatest RPGs ever written. It shows Lancelot receiving his shield from Viviane, Lady of the Lake (underneath the surface of the lake, no less!).

I created and printed these cards somewhere around 2010 and never got to use them. Just recently rediscovered and sleeved, I'm feeling like it's time to break out Three Sixteen: Carnage Amongst the Stars again. Who's in the Phoenix area and up for some anti-war space marine roleplaying?

"What are you trying to do?" is *so* important.
Also: I see pointless, zero-stakes rolls in APs all the time. Roll with intention and an obvious *downside*. Makes every game better.
100%
I'll add that declaring your character's intended result of that action is equally important. If the GM knows what the player is hoping to accomplish, it's far more probable to happen and also not cause confusion of intent.
D&D Tip: Declare your character's actions, not the mechanics.

I have two of players playing Pagan knights in our #Pendragon 6E campaign. What are some good sources of information about Arthurian Paganism to share with the them? I've pulled excerpts from Pendragon 5.2 and Knights Adventurous. Looking for within the TTRPG, RPGs in general, and other sources!
