The shock and awe Musk, Vought, Bannon and Trump — are bringing will backfire if we’re smart about it. Make clear that DOGE is the Dept of Govt Extermination, not Efficiency. Let people see that their taxes are no longer paying for vital public services but to fatten the richest people on earth.

That people now see the typical person Silicon Valley has produced through decades long juvenilizing and coddling of young men and the persistent sidelining of women is an important thing except it’s also too late. These toxic adult toddlers are grown and cloning more.
"One theme in the young DOGEbros’ rampage through the federal government—taking over offices, demanding access to hypersensitive computer systems, threatening civil servants—is their combination of blithering ignorance and swaggering self-assurance."

What this long and detailed NYT piece calmly calls an “extraordinary flexing of power by a private individual” is in fact a blatantly unconstitutional usurpation of Congress’s Article I powers and delegation of the President’s Article II duties.

You know, all the people who soiled their reputations working for Trump‘s first administration but aren’t working in his second have to be thinking right now, “Man, this buffoon is making us look really good by doing all the crazy shit we kept him from doing last time!”

I cannot believe there are still people out there challenging those of us who call Elon Musk the American co-president. I do not use that term as a moniker or a calumny or a joke or a speculation. It is fact. The evidence points toward that conclusion as the only responsible one.

Donald Trump nominated Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard and Kash Patel because he wants to show Republicans that he is the boss. That he can strip them of their dignity by making them support terrible nominees.

Senate Republicans may be in the majority, but Trump controls them. That is the story.

Keep in mind when you see Trump’s political attacks about the LA fires that he doesn’t understand the problems, care about the personal suffering or desire to learn what happened so he can do something to help. He just wants to exploit the tragedy to score points and fuel more conflict and division.
