"The artwork has already been concealed by large sheets of black plastic and two metal barriers".

Of course it has. That is how the British state deals with problems, just cover them up and don't let anyone get close.

Not to mention the uniformed guards.

Reform UK, which has a grand total of four MPs, was just given an uninterrupted platform for an hour and a half on the BBC and Sky News channels, in order to talk about its plans for mass deportations

When was the last time the Greens (with four MPs) or the Lib Dems (with 72) were given the same?

Far right groups are threatening to burn down hotels full of refugees at events attended by senior politicians, while people of colour live in fear after being falsely labelled as paedophiles

How mainstream politicians and media organisations are allowing a violent far right movement to spread
Where Is the Political Leadership Against This Violent Far-Right Movement Terrorising Britain?
The silence of senior mainstream politicians and media organisations against the rise of a new well-organised far-right movement on Britain's streets is a disgrace, argues Adam Bienkov

Just discovered that Ebuyer went tits up a couple of weeks ago and I'm sad. It and Dabs (also RIP) were my primary sources for overspending on PC upgrades when I was at uni. Now we're down to a small handful of Not Amazon sites for components and it's not healthy.

I continue to be disappointed that Bluesky doesn't offer any real MFA options. Running a major platform and not offering *at least* TOTP, but ideally hardware keys and (despite my misgivings) passkeys, is really inexcusable.

@dorianlynskey.bsky.social regarding the OGWN AI discussion, there are lots of nerds who are deeply concerned about the current AI push, because we understand how it works and its limitations, and it's terrifying how *certain* people are about anything ChatGPT tells them.

Labour deserve to lose to Reform. It's going to be disastrous for the country, but the way they've acted in the last 9 months has veered between pathetic and hateful with very little to be positive about. Whoever is running their policy team needs to be taken out and publicly shot.
