It's actually super easy to talk to people about how outer space is political! Especially now, when people's curiosity is accompanied by a growing concern about whether space exploration is causing more harm than good. If you're doing outreach talks, I recommend having these discussions!

Yesterday was the worst day for the giving circle since August 25th.

Click “weekly” on a coffee so that no single day goes without support for six families, mostly kids—three health emergencies, four families homeless—to survive ongoing annihilation.

look I know being an engaged citizen IS the work of democracy but it is also the work of elected officials not to create situations where everyone has to be mobilized all the time to prevent them from allowing some kind of Dickensian horror on a Sunday night while you're in between loads of laundry

look. call your senator. but don't forget that requiring you to do this every single time, even when it's something obviously and unambiguously evil being passed, is part of a system designed to wear us down and close off our ability to imagine a better world

Lots of hard, shitty lessons being learned from this presidency. And one of the many I hope you're learning is, white supremacy is incompatible with reality, and cannot exist without historical revisionism.
1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

Sometimes when people ask me why I’m wearing a mask I say I’m traveling or have some important thing soon and can’t afford to get sick and miss it and that’s pretty much always true but I think it would be nice if it were more normalized to just say “I don’t want to get sick” and leave it at that

If you can, it’s very important to go to a beautiful place and let that beauty crack you open, just a little, so the wonder can get in.

5 hours left, please share. I cant hold my phone anymore.

Maybe this is where the giving circle ends, right?

I asked this last week and then I wrote something hopeful after. Hope dies last, right? We keep going? We fight for Palestinian life? Right?

Six families don’t eat without you. 565/2901
