This was amazing 💛

Apparently, that singer is doing her album variants shenanigans again in the UK to block Rosalía from #1. You know it's bad when I'm about to defend someone from Spain.

Die My Love (2025)

The only good thing about today is that I took advantage of having the day off and being in the capital to go to the movies and see this film. There were only 9 people in the theater.

I need to vent.

Are there any other Linda Fiorentino movies worth watching?

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994)
November 13, 2025 at 12:12 AM
Before watching Guillermo Del Toro's new adaptation of Frankenstein, I want to watch the 1994 version with Kenneth Branagh and Robert De Niro.

I remembered something very embarrassing that happened to me years ago and now I want to jump off a building.

The Last Seduction (1994)
November 12, 2025 at 3:05 AM
I'm rewatching The Last Seduction, a film I haven't seen in AGES, and I'm laughing because I didn't remember the scene where the guy says to her that he's hung like a horse and she calls him Mister Ed!

I was today years old when I found out that there is continuity between the different Bonds. Based on what I know and have seen, I always assumed that each actor represented a different timeline.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

I finally was able to watch this video. I've seen the 2 Frankenstein movies that James Whale directed, plus The Old Dark House and The Invisible Man, and I really like those 4 movies. I didn't know much about him or what happened to his career, it's so sad and infuriating. He deserved better.

That was enthralling. Even if I end up hating the movie, I can't wait for the soundtrack. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xgp7...

I didn't know the context of Mutya's solo song in Three called Maya until today. So sad.

Three, Sugababes (2003)

Another solid album. Hole in the Head and In the Middle are going to be stuck in my head.

I guess their definition of ceasefire means cease and then fire immediately.
Breaking | Israeli occupation forces set fire to lands near the separation wall in the village of ‘Arbouna, east of Jenin.

Hud (1963) because it's a great story, I was entertained, it's beautifully shot, the performances are amazing, and it has young Paul Newman, which never hurts.
What is the best movie not from this year that you’ve seen this year? Bonus points if you say why

It's far from a terrible lineup, but I'd improve it by replacing Ingrid Bergman with herself in Casablanca, and Greer Garson with Teresa Wright in Shadow of a Doubt.

I would like to think that if the Best Supporting Actress category had existed during the first Oscars, they would have been nominated.

Janet Gaynor's costars in those films were very handsome.

Street Angel should be at #3.
Janet Gaynor
1. 7th Heaven (1927) 🥇
2. Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (1927) 🥇
3. A Star is Born (1937)
4. Street Angel (1928) 🥇

She only received 2 nominations, but in total, there are 4 performances, so... 🤷‍♂️
