Some notes about TB prevention, as a former TB patient. TB is a bacterial disease. There is a vaccine, but it has variable efficacy & is not widely used in the U.S.. So, you can't make a "personal choice" (vaccine) to maximally protect yourself against this disease. So what protects you?

I too have been dismissed from NIAID Board of Scientific Counselors along with 3 other women and a non-white man
Just received the email that my recent appointment to a BSC, which was supposed to be until June 2029, was terminated effective immediately.
More political meddling at NIH:
I'm told that multiple (2-4ish) members of the Boards of Scientific Counselors, which oversee intramural research, have been kicked off the boards before their term expires.
No explanation given, but the thought is that these were folks who cared about DEI.

Vindictive bullying in the open..
I have confirmation from several sources now that all T32s, many F30s and F31s, and most or all Center awards (P30, P50) have been terminated at Columbia.
This is quite damaging to research and to individuals.
This is pure terrorism and cannot be legal. But litigation will take time...
