It depends on how good you think De Rosario is. If you have a 50th percentile opinion on how good he is, I agree it doesn’t make sense to move Moose. I’m pretty sure my evaluation of DeRo is 99th percentile, I basically think he can do exactly what Moose did plus a lot more.

Issue with that is that they already take a break from December to February. That’s the offseason. If you want to have an offseason in June and July, you almost have to play games into the first couple weeks of December and restart early February

The only seasons where this actually happened for more than a few games were 2019 and 2020. The 2019 team was really not fun at all until the playoff run and while the 2020 team was fun, it was unfortunately the Covid team

In 2018-19 there was also some sentiment that the team was going the wrong direction and had declined since the Oba Deuce days. 2015 was one of the worst regular seasons we’ve had, it looked like we could miss the playoffs all the way up to October
