“Routinely not solving violent crimes creates a cycle of distrust in law enforcement that causes people to no longer cooperate with police, thus exacerbating the issue, Clement said. And people who commit crimes may feel emboldened to do more if they think they can get away with it.”
Police are failing to solve most violent crimes in WA • Washington State Standard
More than half of violent crimes in Washington state are going unsolved, including over over 49,000 such crimes since 2022.

This is so beautiful. Pity the man who sees everything as something to dominate or LOL. A human with a hole in him that can’t be filled with a trillion dollars.
Found the tweet that Joyce Carol Oates bodied Elon Musk with and it's so beautiful in its eloquent, simple take down. So much so he's crashing out trying to prove he reads books now. Put this in the Louvre.

I’m nearly 60 & I am in Microsoft Teams at work, fumbling to try and add a coworker to a group as an owner.
Is it just me, or is big tech so excessively Darwinian that those of us that can’t automatically figure out a chain of order should just be taken out and dropped off at a farm in the country?

How has that worked out for us?
VARNEY: You canceled almost $8b of energy projects, most of them in blue states. Are you punishing the blue states?

CHRIS WRIGHT: We are punishing the wasteful spending of taxpayer dollars ... do you want to subsidize E-bike lanes lanes in Portlandia?

It’s what we’re about. Bullies have always had tremendous power here, but they are not what we’re about. We the People, the ones who do the right thing day in, day out, are the ones that hold the gravitas here.

St. Augustine would consider him to be a poor imitation of Christ.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan failed to report direct admissions of rape by multiple priests, lobbied against extending the statute of limitations for sex abuse, and moved money off the church books to hide it from victims of sex abuse. In case you were wondering.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan on Fox & Friends on Charlie Kirk: "This guy is a modern day St Paul. He was a missionary, he's an evangelist, he's a hero. He's one I think that knows what Jesus meant when he said 'the truth will set you free.'"

So basically, Democrats are fighting themselves on crime, and the Republican “throw them in the slammer and throw away the key” is winning (even though it doesn’t work).
Don't listen to centrist Democrats about crime
They're wrong on the policy and wrong on the politics.
