TL;DR: NHS England refused FOI requests about the Cass Review. The ICO said they can’t call them vexatious—but let them claim the info doesn’t exist. E A Lee says that’s not credible. Tribunal decision pending.

1/🧵 Here is my submission to the First-Tier Tribunal for the missing Cass Review papers.

In summary, we think that Baroness Cass, or other unidentified officials, have purported to wield unbridled powers of censorship, despite there being no lawful basis of it.

I went to trans pride for the first time this year. Honestly, way out of my comfort zone.

People involved were lovely but I was terrified of being photographed and of the people *not* involved.

I spent the whole time head down on the sidelines.

I’ve been reflecting on the experience since… 1/4

You’d think a decade into transition I’d know what was going on…

Is it only once you’ve got a GRC that GPs stop outing you in referral letters with *completely irrelevant* trans related stuff or…?

I mean come on, sorry Mike but I really don’t think the doc snipping off a mole needs to know.

If you take heroin your GP will help you with blood tests. But if you follow international healthcare protocols and take eg puberty blockers NHS England has told your GP not to help you monitor hormone levels with blood tests. Gender affirming care is, apparently, worse than heroin.

So write to your MP! Template here: docs.google.com/document/d/1...

If your MP is useless / you don't want to write to them, there's this open letter you can sign instead (you can sign the open letter if you HAVE written to your MP, too).

Just thinking of the EHRC guidance again… would it not be discriminatory against people who don’t subscribe to GC ideology (as equally protected), bc the guidance assumes everyone subscribes to GCism (eg., by saying knowledge that someone is trans changes ‘perceived sex’ to sex assigned at birth)?

Neurodivergent ppl, how do you manage this deep crippling feeling of burnout that comes with attempting to juggle even just essential work and the emotional burden of existing as a trans person rn?

I’m slacking *so much* with work bc of it all and I’m afraid there’s only so much they’ll tolerate.

Okay folks! We’ve a real opportunity here. This petition is at 78,000 (ends 28 July!). With a good push, we can get it over the line.
MPs *don't need to stick to the exact petition topic*. We can brief them to discuss any & ALL issues with trans healthcare.

Submitted the EHRC consultation with 12 minutes to spare 😭

Fuck me I need a holiday. That was brutal.

I think I was polite enough. Ish.

Probably came off to them as dramatic but of course it would when *that’s* their proposal.

Teeny little jab right at the end but it’s true so 💁‍♂️

I thought I was finally done with this bullshit 😭

Would it be a bad idea to put “(i.e., scientific illiteracy and transphobia)” after all references to ‘GC’ ideology in my EHRC responses?

Obviously I don’t want them to just bin the response I’ve spent 2 full days on. But also fuck them and fuck GC transphobes.

I’ve lost two work days to this fucking consultation and still haven’t finished.

Just thinking back on someone I mistakenly put trust into irl who turned out to be deep terf (+xenophobic, misogynist, ableist).

Early on she said to me “I’m very open minded”.

Is this like the bigot version of “I’m a nice guy”?

I think I’m “open minded” but I’ve never felt like I had to say it.
June 30, 2025 at 10:14 AM
This whole fuckin consultation just falsely assumes that subscribing to GC ideology is the societal norm.

Many people continue to perceive trans men/women as men/women after knowing they’re trans. But this knowledge could still be defence against misogynous harassment against a trans woman?
June 30, 2025 at 9:20 AM
I’m sorry but how the fuck do people do these consultations in half an hour? I’ve been at this all day and still only up to chapter 12.
June 29, 2025 at 4:19 PM
I’m only on section 2.2 of the EHRC consultation… but just occurred to me - they say ask about birth sex in private to ‘avoid’ discrimination/harassment… but what if someone feels they have to ask somebody who turns out to be an insecure transphobe who gets offended by the association & lashes out?

Just concluded my keynote at Pride In London's Human Rights Forum.

I have announced today publicly that I now see it as my sad duty to make an evidence based report to Genocide Watch and The Lemkin Institute requesting investigation into the systematic oppression of the trans community of the UK.

I still haven’t responded to the EHRC consultation. I’m so grateful that people have created guidance and explainers but my brain can’t even cope with deciding which of those to follow and the prospect of mentally aggregating information from each is overwhelming so I don’t even know where to start.

Got a reply from my MP re NC21 after 7+ weeks.

My email was more vulnerable, raw, honest about my experience than I would be with anyone in my daily life.

10 paras. One question.

What did I get back? 3 empty sentences expressing disagreement, no answer to my question, zero empathy.

What a dick.
