I was worried about the change given the political climate, and started digging. Bear in mind I’m not an endocrinologist.

I found that the WPATH standards of care (8) recommended levels between 400-700ng/dL and that if levels fall below 400ng/dL dosing intervals be reviewed.

Measure serum total testosterone every 3 months (with dose changes) until levels are at goal a. For parenteral testosterone, the serum total testosterone should be measured midway between injections. The target level is 400-700 ng/dL. Alternatively, measure peak and trough peaks to ensure levels remain in the range of reference men. b. For parenteral testosterone undecanoate, testosterone should be measured just before injection. If the level is < 400ng/dL, adjust the dosing interval. c. For transdermal testosterone, the testosterone level can be measured no sooner than after 1 week of daily application (at least 2 hours after application of product). 3. Measure hematocrit or hemoglobin concentrations at baseline and approximately 3 months (with dose changes) for the first year and then one to two times a year. Evaluate patient approximately every 3 months (with dose changes) in the first year and one to two times per year thereafter to monitor for appropriate physical changes in response to estrogen. a. Serum testosterone levels should be less than 50 ng/dL. b. Serum estradiol should be in the range of 100-200 pg/mL. 2. For individuals receiving spironolactone, serum electrolytes, in particular potassium, and kidney function, in particular creatinine, should be monitored. 3. Follow primary care screening per primary care chapter recommendations

Extract from EHRC trans consultation. 2.1.7 This means that, in relation to the Act, a person’s sex remains their biological sex, whether they have a GRC or not. This is also referred to as ‘sex at birth’ or ‘birth sex’ in this code. For example, a trans man with a GRC is a woman and a trans woman with a GRC is a man, for the purposes of the Act.

Surely, if it doesn’t completely fall first, this at very least means that the government HAS to recognise the non binary nature of sex?

If an intersex person from a country that doesn’t record binary at birth comes to the UK, how exactly are they recognised and protected by the Act?

This means that, for the purposes of that Act, a person’s legal sex is the one that was recorded at their birth. This is a change to the previous interpretation adopted by the courts, which was that the definition of sex also includes people who have obtained a Gender Recognition Certificate (GRC). According to the new ruling, obtaining a GRC does not change your legal sex for Equality Act purposes.

No idea what I did to this ‘dr Isobel’ to be added to these lists (I can only assume it stemmed from her misreading one of my messages, then refusing to acknowledge her own error and instead escalating… that or it’s a troll account)…

…but I suggest blocking.

Is this our symbol and I just never knew? What does it represent? Is it headless or is it elephant?
A strange symbol that could either be a headless torso with arms down to the sides and one leg positioned down from the centre of the torso, or it could be an elephants head with a short sort of rectangular trunk.
