Following the Halifax Explosion in 1917, Montréal and Toronto hosted hockey games to raise money for the devastated city. This trophy, now in a private collection, was presented at ones of the fundraisers. Via the Old Halifax and Nova Scotia FB page.

It’s who loves you at your loud jokes and at your broody silences, who gets what you mean when you leave a sentence half-finished and when you voice a thought too weird for anyone else. Someone to be both silly and sad with. Someone with whom you can simply be.

I really think at its heart philosophy is one giant battle, taking place over many eras and nations, between people who are basically pleasant bureaucrats and people who are sexy murder poets, and it’s both super important and super boring that the pleasant bureaucrats must win.

The narrators are definitely AI. But are the authors, too!?

This photo on the National Mall captivated the country decades ago. The real story behind it remained a mystery — until now.

Because people keep asking, the Story of The Lizard In That Dude's Leg. Some caveats:

1. This happened more than twenty years ago. There are no pictures. There was a small article in a local paper with, again, no pictures (I'm assuming that's what the producers of 9-1-1: LONE STAR found).
