RFK Jr is saying that "autism is destroying our kids." Autism didn't destroy me, but ableism almost did, and eugenics/the mainstreaming of disinformation certainly threaten to.

Struggling to see the usefulness in still needing to heap blame somewhere for the fact that Tr*mp is president. We could be doing infinity things right now to address *the disaster that is in front of us right now* and we all need you to choose to focus and do the real work (helping) instead.

We passed a bill in committee yesterday that felonizes elected officials if they vote against Trump’s immigration policy. Let that sink in. Duly elected officials will go to jail- will have a criminal record- if they do not vote for and support Trump’s policies.

Social media sites push gross conservative content into your eyeballs because they want you to feel angry and overwhelmed and powerless, and turn on your own neighbors, and then leave. You’re not powerless, so why would you willingly hand over your own power?

Reminder that Mitt Romney explicitly said the rationale behind the tiktok ban was pro Palestinian content. The renewed push last year was explicitly to help Israel conduct a genocide without scrutiny on social media.

Imperial boomerang in action.

I have been in fight mode since two weeks ago, when we got the warnings about high winds and fire danger, and now that it’s the first day I’m not either working to support other people and/or vigilantly watching for evacuation updates, I have never been so exhausted and unhinged in my liiiiife

If you speak a language other than English could you tell me how you "pay attention" in it? For example, in Hindi we "give" attention and I think in Spanish it is "lend" attention.

Galen Buckwalter, 68, shared with me his harrowing tale of being forced to flee the Eaton fire alone on his wheelchair through dark streets and fierce winds, dodging debris as fire neared his home.

Therapists, that means you.

People need to be able to recognize and protect themselves from abusive power.

Exploring the dynamics within the therapist/client relationship is a great start.
