Apparently #ACT got a lot of flak for posting that their test now has "less questions" rather than the putatively correct "fewer questions."

They ding test takers for this, so they do look hypocritical here.

But why quiz students on this pointless distinction in the first place?

A Keith Haring #LEGO set? And it looks incredible? Sign me up immediately!

Just like the artist's work, the techniques for building these LEGO models are more complicated than they might seem.

I adore the creamy orange walls with with trim on this pirate island getaway.

(Reminds me of the architecture in Mérida, Mexico :)

A working carousel that uses a hand crank to both turn the carousel and move the horses up and down. So impressive!

All caught up now on eps 7-9 of #Andor season 2.

What incredible storytelling, fantastic costumes and sets, amazing dialogue and devastating events. It's so much.

Multiple characters with Emmy-worthy speeches so far, and we still have 3 episodes to go!

The fancy vintage egg slicer I ordered last week arrived today!

I did not go as far as eating them with a knife and fork, however. I'm not *actually* that weird about my food! 🥚

It's silly, but I've seen lots of people asserting that Dylan made his paper ring from one of his finger traps

No way. Not only are those 100% blue, they are woven plastic. The ring is white & dark blue paper

The more likely option to me is a page from the MDR orientation handbook

Some people wanted a more fantastical answer, but for me, the goats' purpose as animal sacrifices in some weird quasi-religious ceremony made perfect sense.

It fits with Lumon's culty practices and with the desperate line from season 1 that they weren't "ready" yet. Anything else would be try-hard

But once the race was on to find Gemma, it found its footing.

Loved how all the pieces came together - needing Drummond's keycard (and his blood!), getting a gun because we're done sacrificing goats, Gwendoline Christie being the only goatherder who could take on Drummond and live

I really found the harsh spotlight and shadows here to be visually upsetting. It's clearly intentional, as the cinematography is always top-notch, but I didn't know what the reasoning was, and I wanted it to stop assaulting my eyes.

And then the absolute bizarreness of the way Milchick and co chose to celebrate Mark's upcoming completion of the Cold Harbor file.

Animatronic Kier Eagan? Awkward comedy stylings? Weird moody lighting while he does his work? A marching band? Who on earth thinks this is desirable?

I'm still processing. What a ride.

The idea that iMark would not necessarily be on board with oMark's plans makes so much sense, and yet, I didn't really expect it

I did think the interaction between them via vidcam was fascinating, but maybe went on a tad too long

The Eagans have some weird hang-ups around food. Nevertheless, I covet that egg slicer! In fact, I just ordered a similar one off eBay 😆

Mr. Milchick finallly told off Mr. Drummond, but will he still be an antagonist towards Mark in the season finale? I bet yes.

Patricia Arquette has a nice singing voice, but 😬

outie Mark refused a second glass of wine on his date, yay progress!

How could a plastic card that looks like an airplane safety guide be SO important it's worth going to outie Dylan's home and waking innie Dylan? Holy Kier!

If you are a Cornell Alum, you can vote in the upcoming Alumni Trustee Election.

This vote is important - two of the candidates are right-wing attorneys who will work to enact their political agenda on the university's administration.

Pictured: the complete instructions from a box of Mexican chocolate drink, in Spanish, translated into both English and French.

I gather:

1) It can be either hot or cold

2) I can use either milk or water

But it seems only those who can read more than one language will learn these secrets.

I'm ridiculously pleased with the nice points I'm getting with my old-fashioned manual pencil sharpener. My electric one didn't work nearly as well.

And it's just mentally satisfying to turn the crank and get a productive outcome 😄

I wanted this #doily to be large, hence the alterations. It was a gift for my sister, to be used as her wedding canopy.

It took me about 5 months to complete, time I happened to have in fall 2009, as we were living abroad in Ireland and I had no work permit :)

Luckily I did finish it in time!

For the final day of #ArtAdventCalendar, my largest lace knit project ever (4'3" x 4'3")

"Lyra" by Niebling, 1939

I added 16 rows of my own design to the original pattern, and used slightly larger needles and thread than typical for a #doily

Knit star-shaped onesie I made for my infant niece way back in 2008. ⭐

She didn't really want to cooperate with modeling it!

(this one is unusual for me as I more often knit mono-color lace rather than multi-color stockinette :)
