So, I can now confirm that my essay “Reading (in) Graham Greene’s *The Ministry of Fear* (1943)”—an 11,000 word trans-generic reading of the novel interrogating modernism’s trouble with spy fiction—will appear in the first issue of the next volume of NOVEL: A Forum on Fiction.

I'd love to give talks about my book-in-progress. Invite me? I'm writing about girlhood, archives, and haunting in early C20 India. I have ghost stories, a riveting murder, and a wonderful queer romance to tell. I'm in India in October, UK otherwise, and US early 2024.

I'll be there! Your paper sounds great (I'll aim to be there). I'm on a panel on 'Geopoetics Under Censorship' convened by @ayanassar.bsky.social, and part of a roundtable on 'Culture and Imperialism 30 Years On' convened by Tariq Jazeel. It's my first RGS and I'm looking forward to meeting people!

Who's going to the RGS-IBG Annual Conference at the end of this month? I'm presenting on South Indian college magazines at a panel on 'The Place of the Archive' org by Srilata Sircar and Raktim Ray; and running a panel on 'Carceral Domesticities' with Laura Anton. What is everyone else doing?

Wow.... Zoom thinks me paying to use their service means they get my communications and likenesses forever.

Disgusting and surely illegal.

I had to re-up recently as clients expect me to host my meetings with them. Just cancelled Zoom sub and I will not ever be renewing.

Suggest you do, too.

Disappointing to see folks continue to circulate that petition without critically engaging with the actual issues at hand - or, at the very least, listening to people working (and living!) at the intersection of disability and Empire.
