Tonight's Hallowe'en viewing... yes, it's the return of the #NationalSeance
Starting at 9:25pm, the same time of original TX in October 1992.

Make sure your cheese sandwiches are secured.

Well, after what turned out to be a pretty damn shitty (but not totally unexpected) day, meeting the great @robbotron.bsky.social at #TheDarkRoom in Southport improved things considerably!

And yes, I did indeed die.
But an honourable and entertaining death indeed.
Great fun :)

Found this picture of Glasgow Central railway station from 1979.
Note the massive digital clock to the left of the departure boards, and note that - just like the new clock that's been unveiled at London Bridge - it doesn't have a seconds display.

I wonder if people complained about it back then?

Why have I only just discovered there's a telephone museum in Narbonne?

And guess where we're off to tomorrow?

*Checks website for current opening times*

Merde! It's only open on Saturdays ☹️

I very sadly regret to inform you all that the first sighting of those fucking musical Christmas biscuit tins for 2025 has just occurred in WHSmith in Manchester Airport terminal 3.

Seriously, can we now stop manufacturing these infernal sodding pieces of shit?
October 18, 2025 at 10:55 AM
Arrived at Manchester Airport ready for our flight to France.
Saw this sign while walking to the terminal and thought my old Maths teacher would have conniptions at this, he was a stickler for making us walk on the left in corridors.
(I'm sure was the prototype for Mr Bronson in Grange Hill)

Just seen someone sharing another one of those "things were better in my day" post bollocks on FB, with the screenshotted last line.

Do these pillocks not know that milk deliveries are still very much a thing? At least they are round these parts...

Snap! (On the food front anyway...)

(Also, accident? Sorry I missed this - hope you're ok!)

Out seeing one of those "popular beat combo" things tonight in that there Manchester.
October 10, 2025 at 8:07 PM
No, this is WRONG. As someone who went to sixth form college in Wigan, let me clarify.

A "babby's yed" is slang for a steak and kidney pudding. NOT a meat pie.
They are two COMPLETELY different things.

GIven this HoG series is filmed in Salford, I'm amazed no one picked up on this rubbish...
