The structure of the music absolutely fascinates me though; I've always been a sucker for odd time signatures and chord progressions, maybe this explains it!

Looking at it as an adult, I think part of my childhood unease about this stems from the fact that the way the circles were dissected puts me in mind of the top of the Camberwick Green musical box, and you all know my childhood (and indeed adult) feelings towards that.
