This is the asymmetry in our politics and media. If this was the other way around, Biden had pardoned someone then charged with trying to kill Trump, it would be the biggest story in America and every Republican commentator, congressman, news outlet, would be screaming about it in unison.
Pardoned Capitol rioter charged with threatening to kill Hakeem Jeffries at NYC event this week
A pardoned Capitol rioter was arrested last weekend for allegedly threatening to kill the top House Democrat.

My prediction is that in that scenario, he blames the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which puts out employment data. Calls them corrupt, run by Democrats, out to get him. Fires people there, insists their numbers cannot be trusted, White House puts out its own fictitious data to make Trump look good

I have a doctorate in theology and I diagnose Don Jr. as having a gravely disordered character and a critical deficit of basic human decency.
I’m only a Juris Doctor, but I diagnose Don Jr. as being a soulless moron.

The fact that Fountain Park and The Ville got hit, and especially the tower collapse and death at Centennial Christian, is just so unfair and heartbreaking. So many churches would have been empty on a Friday afternoon but not them. They were feeding the hungry.
The Fountain Park and The Ville Neighborhoods are made up of people who have fought for 50 years to preserve their rich heritage. They were making amazing progress. The #STLtornado is a devastating setback.

The use of "worse than 9/11" for events or situations in which not a single soul has died is a weird Republican hyperbole tic that really tells us how their minds work. Mike Kelly (PA-16) used that line on the day that birth control became available without a co-pay under the ACA.

It's unhinged.
Republican member of Congress accuses Democrats who inspected an ICE facility of “insurrection” that’s “worse than 9/11.”

These people are fucking insane.

Every book published in the United States is sent to the Library of Congress. Also, if you are under 16 you cannot use the reading room or order books.
Reporter: The president fired the Librarian of Congress. Why?

Leavitt: There were quite concerning things she had done at the Library of Congress in the pursuit of DEI and putting inappropriate books in the library for children.

The President of the United States can hand out clearances like candy if he chooses to do so. Things like this are legal because no one ever thought about the possibility of a POTUS being a completely irresponsible person.
I know this has been said countless times in the past few months but… how can this be legal? Better yet, how is it allowed to happen?

Malhuret comes from the centre-right in France. This is part of a trend we're seeing across Europe and Canada. Centre-right politicians and media are not merely abandoning Trump as a phony ideological ally, but are now strongly denouncing him as the malign tyrant of a former ally turned rogue state.
