When you work in anything porn-related it is never far from your mind that there's a portion of people consuming your work who fucking despise you as a person and probably even as an existential concept, but still regularly jerk off to your stuff.
This makes me think of the economics of various incel "manosphere" podcasts on YouTube. I remember someone once asking some women why they go on those shows, where they're degraded, devalued, and verbally abused by the hosts/audience. The answer: It doubles their OF subscriptions.
it's different for people on OF, of course. Twitter has enough chud incels that every time they derisively quote tweet a sex worker, they gain dozens of new subscriptions from followers who just want to see the boobs of the terrible feminist lady
