Easy. Go to Calligraphr.com and make a custom font with your handwriting so it feels like you wrote it by hand. It's a small and simple change that takes most of a Sunday evening, but feels amazing. Check it out. Just **Chef's Kiss**

So with the help of the Funnyname brothers, we get some ideas rolling and I pirate Illustrator to have a good vector tool to work with. One day after finishing the redesign their anti-piracy locks in and I love it, but not before getting the files I need. The design looks great. Onward!

During the wedding luncheon, I create a Discord Server and invite a small group of friends and family to collaborate. It goes well and ideas start coming in. It's agreed upon that the font isn't amazing and could use a change. The design could use some sprucing up. It very much feels like MS Office.

Finally, after making all of these wonderful cards, color the new bits in, and sleeve them, they need a box. I jack up an old Amazon box and slather it in white Duct Tape for good measure. I love this box. It's a good box. I will fight you on this. Now to get it to Michigan for the wedding.

Ha! No! That's a bad idea! Cutting them out once sucked a whole bunch, so penny sleeves work just as well. Also, each card back has the name of the set they belong to which each have bespoke logos AND set symbols! SO THAT WAS FUN. The next remake has uniform backs and fun booster pack art. Win/win.

So now I have 305 cards with blank backs. I commission a stamp with the game's newly revamped logo so I can have that cool handcrafted look. This takes an age, and while cool, made a lot of things very difficult. It still looks rad as hell so I let it slide. But do I laminate them? Should I even?

Well, turns out that there's 305 cards now, which is a sight to behold! Getting the pages, printed on quality cardstock, is a crazy moment for me. This is the culmination of 22 years of work. (Also, if the printing place offers to cut out the cards, let them. Cutting out the cards took 4 days

I added a resource system so cards had costs. It was still broken, but that was the fun of it. Justice Fighters cards made me laugh and the game was silly enough to be exciting to draw. So work continued and the cards cleaned up. I still used MS Word, but I was learning. This looked playable!

The cards were ROUGH, but they got the job done. Originally, the templates were hand drawn and then photocopied before I did some magic in Microsoft Word to make creating new cards faster. They were laminated in packing tape and mostly drawn during Geometry class. It was intoxicating.

So I'm working on a huge project called "Justice Fighters" which ends up being my take on "Magic is too sweaty these days and prohibitively expensive and Yu-Gi-Oh is impossible to approach and the 'Un sets' of MTG made me smile" I want to show off some of the design process!

Today, in another episode of "Kevin crams in Perler making until the festival on the 18th", I finally ironed ALL of the Kirby power up cards.
This took 8 hours.
