My kid came out this year and the alt-right faction of my family basically disowned him. This is not an “aw shucks we can agree to disagree” moment. There is no kumbaya moment when you think my child shouldn’t exist.

My youngest is 14 today. He’s the most like me in so many ways. Mostly stubborn 😆 He sings and loves to perform🎶🎤. He is so smart and thoughtful. He can talk about topics from sociology to Elton John’s greatest hits and then critique a meal from his favorite New Orleans’ restaurants. 🦪

TBH I have mixed feelings about the Hunter pardon. On one hand I believe everyone should be held to the law equally (I fully acknowledge that we do not live in this world). On the other hand f*ck it. Nothing matters anymore.

I work downtown. My office, on the 3rd floor, had wet carpet this morning. The office next to mine had to be redone from the studs because of water damage from Francine. My previous office on the 4th floor also had water damage. And so did the one before that.
