Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.

The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

An unheard of number of executions -- imho this is an important sign of a callous disdain for life, ever-more violent agents of the state, an abandonment of well-being.
It's just past 6pm ET and Florida is set to kill 63-year-old Malik Abdul-Sajjad, also known as Richard Barry Randolph. It will be the 17th execution carried out in FL this year. Two more are scheduled for December.
I wrote about the man Florida plans to kill tonight and how the death penalty impacts people in ways we might never imagine.

Trump is systematically demolishing the federal government, firing one in eight workers and stripping away their rights. He is targeting scientists, consumer watchdogs, and public health experts, leaving vital services in ruins while rewarding his cronies.

I'll be interviewed along with two families from There Is No Place for Us. It would mean a lot if you'd watch and help spread the word.

I’m voting no on the continuing resolution that would double healthcare premiums for 20 million Americans, kick 15 million people off Medicaid & allow 50,000 Americans to die unnecessarily every year.

All to give $1 trillion in tax breaks for billionaires.
