The flowers are falling from our Japanese Pagoda tree. They must be still full of nectar as the bees are going inside them. They roll around, as if in the throes of passion!

Information for heat pump skeptics: it’s -7 outside and we’re toasty inside. Only heating is our heat pump running a blower inside. The meter shows it’s using 2.2 kW. This is heating our downstairs, which is open-plan 14m x 6m, in an old uninsulated stone farmhouse…
