Something I wrote on Arsenal Women's need for equilibrium and to be able to perform in the humdrum moments that actually define league seasons

On Arsenal Women's need to find equilibrium

"Arsenal have now failed to beat Chelsea, Man City & Man United, and lost to Lyon and Bayern. For a club and fanbase with ambitions to be and therefore beat the best, it’s been an unacceptable start to 2025/26."

Not sure why there is controversy about russo's goal v chelsea. Here is another angle from the stands and she looks like she is being played onside by two defenders #awfc

Preempting the contractual excuses about Arsenal's conduct. If player contracts stipulate they may continue playing while under investigation for rape, then football has an institutional problem with how it regards sexual violence. Change it.

I wrote about the football Gods spotting a glaring hole in their script and amending it appropriately. Kim Little, Champions League winner. All the staff deserved that triumph in Lisbon on May 24. But Kim deserved it a Little bit more 👇🔴⚪

A player at a Premier League club has been accused of sexual assault by four different women and has carried on playing.

We can't name him for legal reasons.

“It’s a systemic failure,” says Nazir Afzal, the former Chief Crown Prosecutor for North West England.

The player we can’t write about and football’s ‘systemic failure’ to deal with sexual violence
A Premier League player is representing his club despite facing accusations of sexual violence. And nobody can talk or do anything about it.

Trans women belong in women’s sports.

The FA’s ruling to exclude them is cruel, unnecessary, and a sad indictment on the game.

They claim "Football For All", but ban a tiny minority who just want to play the game we all love.

Pot Shot stands with the trans community, always.
