No lawmaker in Congress should be able to buy, own, and sell individual stocks. Period. Let's make Congressional stock trading illegal.

Can confirm this email is authentic — and about nothing in it is true.

Social Security income is still taxed. This bill does nothing to change that.

It’s willful disinformation on the part of SSA. It’s a lie.
Hi, I think a lot of us received e-mails from SSA saying that social security will no longer be taxed - and that somehow there is "enhanced deductions" (how much enhancement can you make to 0?) for those over 65. What part, if any, of this is true? Thank you!

Where is he? If we stop asking, stop demanding his return, we are complicit in his disappearance.
Andry José Hernández Romero, I remember you, even if I do not know how to articulate my horror, rage, & sorrow at your treatment by my government.

No one has heard from you in 109 days.

As vigil, I’m posting a photo or video of you every day until you are returned from El Salvador.

🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.

To emphasize the importance of preserving Medicaid, we request that people in high-priority districts call and write their members of Congress who are in areas that have high Medicaid usage and whose reps have competitive seats. A handy list is below; the Capitol Switchboard is (202) 224-3121.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Bravo Governor Mills! Thank you for showing the other governors what courage and principle look like.
Gov. Mills: I’ll comply with the state and federal laws

Trump: We are the federal law. You better do it because you’re not going to get any federal funds.

Well that’s just idiotic. All AUSAs are incredibly well credentialed and can get a cushy law firm job any day of the week. To say “I took one for the team” is meaningless when the entire team knows they’ll land a 7-figure salary once they get fired.
Latest in the rumor mail from DOJ is one career public integrity. Lawyer agreed to sign the motion to dismiss in order to prevent the sacking of all of their colleagues. Absolutely brutal Stalinist stuff from the new administration.

This is FIRE. This cadre of AUSAs are definitely future Profiles in Courage. 🙏✊👏

So… considering the federal workforce has about a 4% turnover rate, we’re basically paying federal employees who would have resigned anyway and paying them to not work for 6 months. 🤷‍♂️
# of federal workers accepting the trump administration’s buyout program: ~75,000 (almost 4% of govt employees)

I see a twelve-step program in Elon’s future… hopefully sooner rather than later.
I mean there's a genuine question about human biology here. Like: is he setting scheduled posts or is he up 24 hours a day and if it's the latter. How exactly does he manage that do you think?

Trump just inadvertently admitted that Elon Musk is directing DOGE employees to access private US citizen data outside of government interests.

In other words, Musk is abusing US governmental power to serve his own private needs.
