I do think the key for things like Home Alone, Muppet Christmas Carol, etc. is that the actors fully commit to the bit

I feel like similar films made now lean too heavily into doing it ironically

Final Fantasy XII turns 20 years old in just a few months.

And it got me thinking... This might be one of the most underrated titles in the franchise.

I think it deserves way more appreciation than it gets.

Rob Reiner either made your favorite movie, or made somebody you know’s favorite movie. If you’re a Californian, he’s also part of the reason you or your friends can get married. He has changed more lives for the better than this asshole commenting on him ever did.

As we mourn Rob Reiner, don’t skip this: he was, pretty much, personally responsible for overturning California’s Prop 8 banning same sex marriage.

I've loved Sigourney Weaver ever since one of my all-time favorite movies, ALIEN. Couldn't resist going all fanboy on her yesterday & asking for a photo. She told me she's now in the cast of The Mandalorian. Talk about bad timing: she's now in that galaxy far, far away, years after I checked out! 💔

Since it is Halloween, I wanted t9 down thread of all my blog posts for the month of October. I only did a few this year. First was a post about my favorite Simpsons Treehouse of Horror segments. I still love watching these, so this was a lot of fun to write:

I'm still listening through this episode everytime I drive, but it is great so far. I love stories about the early video game scene. Always cool to look back on.
'FuncoLand' is out NOW!

It's 2002. I'm 17.

In this 'Memories' episode, I take you back with me as I revisit those days, but also the experiences that'll stay with me for the rest of my life.

If you've ever caught yourself looking back fondly—This one's for you.

I actually used to get flak for bringing this kinda thing up, but I still feel the same way.

Criticism is always okay. That's not the issue.

The issue is when a person goes out of their way to punch down on something someone else enjoys.

Sometimes the best thing you can say is nothing at all.
At this point in my life, I simply choose not to engage with the negativity surrounding Horizon. In retrospect, it is so weird that folks will appear out of nowhere to scream "BORING!" And I'm like, okay?

There are games I don't enjoy and don't pounce at the chance to talk ill about them.

No one’s looking, so…

I love this picture. It’s so weird and goofy and random. Who commissioned this? Did the artist just say one day in 2015 “Plastic Man needs a harem throne pic.” Who picked the babes? Why’s he so buff and chaddy?

It’s cheesy and terrible and I love it

This was gaming.

I'm not saying gaming isn't fun now, in fact there's so many good games, but there's just too much greed and companies don't respect the consumer and I feel bad for the devs who want to create games but can't because of poor direction from the higher ups.
