I look for silver linings. And CBS ending hilarious, brilliant, wise @stephencolbert.bsky.social ‘s show after eleven years—“a financial decision not related in any way to the show's content”—has one. Colbert now has a whole year to satirize his bootlicker bosses and all the booted villains.

A lot of American politicians, media, and public treat Trump threatening long-time US allies and partners as somehow not real. Like it's a reality TV show, or "just trolling," or part of some secretly good negotiating strategy.
