Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

US Senators from every one of these states—AR, TX, KY, MO, OK, MS, TN—(1) approved Trump/Musk/Doge cuts to NOAA and FEMA, and (2) said Calif would need to change its internal policies before getting federal help for LA fire disaster.

Every one of these US Senators happens to be MAGA/GOP.
Another home swept away in Frankfort, Kentucky.

16 dead in storms across multiple states.

Arkansas, Texas, Missouri & Oklahoma all hit. Mississippi, Tennessee & Kentucky have declared states of emergency.

No word from Trump. But wait for an update on his golf round later…

Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.

Before Medicare, Social Security, and Medicaid, filial responsibility laws, which are on the books in these states, used to be enforced a lot more. These laws allow children to be sued for a parent's nursing home bills, regardless of consent. FYI: You're the backup payment plan.

A federal judge has ruled that Trump illegally fired NLRB member Gwynne Wilcox and ordered her reinstatement.

This is a huge win for workers and unions — and a crucial reminder that Trump is not all-powerful.

Keep up the fight.

Under Biden… ‘23, ‘24 real GDP growth exceeded expectations

Inflation was tamed without a recession

A record 16.6 million jobs created

A record 21 million new business applications

Lowest avg unemployment of any admin in > 50 years…

But, you be you, Mike…

This is a lie... First of all town halls aren't being held in "arenas" they are being held in churches, schools and community centers. Second, 90% of the time you have to be a resident who lives in the district to register to attend with a valid address.
Mike Johnson: "The problem is they're being ambushed by right now by in many cases paid protesters. You've got George Soros-funded groups. They are very well organized ... the actual constituents of these Republican members can't actually make it into the arenas."

His pick to lead the IRS once pushed to abolish the agency entirely.
