@sketchydave.bsky.social
Originally from Portsmouth (and still support the team) but now live in Walthamstow in London with my husband and greyhound. Profile name is due to my love of recounting comedy lines from sketch shows etc. At least I hope that’s how I got that nickname!
AI is so good they say. So when a client uses said AI to question my work ethic despite being 100% wrong and I’ve got to send 3 emails to point that out, I’d say it’s not and it’s taken my time to do that. Thanks AI. Where do I send the bill for my time for your inaccuracy?

Sort this out #bbc. You’re the national broadcaster and this type of spelling is dreadful considering it’s the main story of the whole day and has been for hours.

Thank you @jonsopel1.bsky.social for introducing me to the term 'the armchair' to describe trump. He does indeed bear the impression of the last person to sit on him. Love it!

Well the putin trump presser wasn’t worth being awake for at gone midnight local time. Neither said anything of note. They may as well have been giving a weather forecast for a fortnights time for what that was worth!

‘Sales of Kingsmill and Hovis loaves are thought to have fallen flat due to a drop in demand for basic pre-packaged bread, as speciality breads such as sourdough and ciabatta took a bigger slice of the market.’

They must have enjoyed writing that! 😂
Kingsmill to buy Hovis in move that would create UK's biggest bread producer
Warburtons is the current market leader and the deal needs approval from the competition watchdog.

I bet trump wished a few more had gone in with high stakes at his casinos. He may not have lost money then. Come to think of it, I think we all wish we had too. We would then have a sane person in the WH.

For the last three nights I’ve had to calm my dog due to fireworks. What is it? A Level results, a few birthdays or humans just being insensitive c*n*s? Last night they went on until 11.40pm. I’ve had enough of people not caring about others. When did we stop being thoughtful?

I was explaining to my Ukrainian colleague the phrase ‘There’s no such thing as a free lunch’. She told me the equivalent in Ukrainian is ‘The only free cheese is in the mousetrap’ - which is so much better

As a mortgage broker without any ties to estate agents I had to watch #panorama tonight. Aside from proper regulation that is needed I’d like to see all offers on properties having to go through an independent portal or website that only sellers can see. That would fix a lot of problems.

@bbcstever.bsky.social is a great reporter for the BBC. Managing to bring news from a country that has little regard for the West and probably under some restraint of what he can say and do is an amazing skill.
This week one Russian paper suggested Donald Trump “looks like a loser.” By contrast Russians are being told they’re a nation of winners. I visit a ‘patriotic festival’ near Moscow. Think village fete – with firearms. Our latest report from Russia. Thanks to the BBC News Moscow team.

Will #trump be there? Those damn bone spurs flared up I guess. Maybe they should build a golf course in Kyiv.
