think about how there are families where the wife is still expected to immediately continue cooking all of the meals, doing all of the laundry and cleaning the whole house the day that they get home from giving birth

For certain people in my circle I sadly have to keep in mind the phrase: “when people tell you who they are, believe them”.

As much as it hurts to say it, the last few months for Chicharito could not have been more harmful to his legacy. I don’t specifically mean just being in horrendous form and missing a penalty in the 86th minute the other day to get his team eliminated.

Everyone in politics, everyone in media knows what’s happening here: the White House is controlled by a repellant white supremacist who waits with bated breath for any opportunity to run nonwhite people out of America. They know who it is, what he’s doing. But they won’t SAY it.
Trump: “I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries … denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization.“

An underrated dad moment: being the first to wake up and just feeling the house really cold, checking the thermostat and seeing it’s still set to cool the house, and changing it so that it heats, so your family will wake up nice and cozy.

This game reminds me why I need to stay away from gambling. There is no limit to the amount of money I would have put on the Bills to win this game

I don't think we'll ever get another sentence which sums up everything the New York Times embodies quite like "Some legal experts have called it a crime to summarily kill civilians".
hey @nytimes.com: there is no counterpoint here. There are no credible legal experts who would EVER say that the US military has any right or authority to blow civilian craft out of the Caribbean and kill their crews from afar without any provocation. There is no other side to this question.

the way that Kevin Hassett contorts his face into a smile *while speaking* is exactly how I would direct the propaganda news person actor to do it if I was directing a movie about a dystopian government.
Hassett: "The golden age that President Trump promised us is really on the way."

Also very weird: when we were at Luby Park there was another group there playing really loud patriotic music on some speakers. Even after that group left at least one person stayed back to continue playing the music.

I love my son. We were at Luby Park for a few hours for a birthday party and he cried a few times and still came home telling me about how much fun he had at the park.

When I started watching this game it was 14-3 and I watched some of the most boring football I had seen in a while so I turned it off. I checked the score later and it was tied 20-20 somehow so I ran back and turned it off in order to watch some overtime football since there were just seconds left…
