The worst thing about our system is that it will probably take years for these confessions to lead to consequences (if any)
The best thing about this administration is that they can’t stop confessing

I guess I’m just gonna keep sharing this paper:

Folks, Giving Tuesday is around the corner and this is my yearly PSA that while you may be annoyed with nonprofits raising money that day, please be kind especially this year. It's been BRUTAL trying to raise money in 2025.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

Chuck Schumer Helps Pull Democrats Back From Brink Of Courage

At the beginning of the shutdown Dems were losing the messaging on whose fault it was but the fact that the Trump administration was suing to not fund snap was getting through. It was working.
Didn't Tuesday's election results show that it actually WAS working???
Sen. Angus King on why Democrats caved: "It wasn't working."

Election Day! Which in my small city means seeing if the right wingers who have been losing their minds over the current progressive city council have actually organized around backlash and misinformation as much as they think they have. Here’s hoping it’s all just facebook noise #medford #mapoli

I was always an Election Day voter prior to Covid but that time period really taught me that you never know what can happen on one day. So now I’m an early voter and while the waiting is hard it still feels great! #vote

It’s important to remember that community care doesn’t have to come in the form of $100s in donations or dropping off pallets of food.

Sometimes it’s picking up an extra rotisserie chicken for a neighbor, or doing a grocery pick up for an elder, or helping someone with laundry or childcare.

If you want fewer people fed by SNAP then you should advocate for a higher minimum wage
If you make 130% of the federal poverty level, you qualify for SNAP.

A family of four, making $40,560, qualifies for SNAP benefits meaning thousands of Missouri teachers qualify.

I’m tired of the bullshit. Most of the people who receive snap benefits work.

A reminder in response to the food crisis about to hit with the loss of SNAP that the best thing to support food banks is a cash donation. They can buy food in bulk in a way to stretch the money.

folks can complain about the effectiveness of scheduled orderly mass protest but to think about it another way its the closest thing we have to the opening scene of A Muppet Christmas Carol where all the muppets sing "there goes Mr. Dipshit, there goes Mr. Ass" to Scrooge and it clearly bothered him

We wouldn’t have to primary Markey if he didn’t run and got behind a progressive candidate which is what both he and Warren should both be doing. We need examples of aging leadership actually leading in a next generation #mapoli
There are lots of people concerned about Ed Markey's age who wanted him to get primaried. Yet the universal reaction this morning to Seth Moulton running seems to be, "Yeah, I'll stick with Markey."

That's how much Moulton sucks.

Bought and then immediately returned steaks at Wegmans that rang up (correctly!) at $75/lb. Obviously didn’t notice until my total bill was almost double my usual. What are steakhouses charging these days? $400?

It is truly the lesson that Democrats refuse to learn no matter how many times it fails. What made the biggest impact - when Stacey Abrams mobilized the base and invested in get out the vote in GA and almost won. Fight the voter suppression and we can get the numbers.
