I think one of the problems (speaking only for myself) is I don't hang out with men who would say this or men in general. These guys hang out with like-minded guys, so their way of thinking only gets rewarded within their group.

I've seen quite a few artists create a Pinterest account to correctly post and link their works (a lot of pins are a sadly unlinked personal pins that get blown up) and it seems to stop the source-less art getting shared around.
