It's disgusting that Terry Moran is being punished by ABC for criticizing one of Trump's minions, Stephen Miller, on his social media account. He spoke the truth. ABC's cowardly pandering to Trump and his regime only enables them to demand more control and censorship of the press. Despicable.

“If we didn’t get involved… Los Angeles right now would be on fire.” — Trump

This is a figment of Trump’s deteriorating mind. Protests have been mostly peaceful. Unrest is limited. And unless you’re actually here on our streets, your opinion is just that—an opinion.

A great read. Since null hypotheses are usually false by definition, and p-values are computed assuming H0, p-values are not very actionable. #Statistics #StatsSky
Recently I posted a draft of my essay on banishing p-values/NHST. I've now refined and expanded it, partly based on feedback I received here. Please take a look and comment,

This is an extremely important read. In medicine we want prediction, not classification. Beware of bad biomarker work that seeks to classify treatment decisions, rather than predict here

A good example of confounding; clearly this can all be easily fixed with some do-calculus and pretty painted arrows and we have “unbiased causal inference” smh

The 25% tariffs are going to cripple the auto industry - who can afford a car as it is, let alone with a 25% tariff on various parts or the entire vehicle?
A big thanks to the morons who voted for Trump.
