I loved this, but the person who posted it had crappy alt text, so I'm re-posting.
A typed table with the heading "I have achieved all my 2025 Goals" followed by a numbered list. Each item has been altered with a ballpoint pen. 1 has been changed from "buy a house" to "buy a houseplant." 2 was originally "run 10 kilometers," but now says "run 0.10 km." 3 Was "get fit" but is now "get fat." 4 has gone from "meditate daily" to "medicate daily." 5 Has been changed from "invest in stocks" to "invest in socks."

If you were learning a foreign language and could pick 7 words to learn first, which words would you want to learn? Probably not ‘duck’ and ‘quack’

Ask my 1 year old: Dadda, Mumma, car, ball, cat, duck, and kak (quack). So every animal is either a duck or a cat, and every bird says kak.

I discovered a trick for wrapping the weirdly shaped Toblerone chocolate we are giving to family as gifts- shove it inside an empty, cut-to-size wrapping paper tube and you have a much easier to wrap cylinder shape!

Went to pick up our order of stocking stuffers and sparkling grape juice from the Warehouse, and they mysteriously doubled our order!

Spent the day snorkelling in a marine reserve in Tīkapa Moana, the Hauraki Gulf.

Saw a ton of snapper, various other fishes, urchins and one beautiful and quite large stingray (probably a cownose stingray).

Hard to say who was most excited between the Little One, my partner and me.

Roughly a month after returning from Alabama, two FBI agents knocked on my door, wearing beige raincoats, badges in hand. The FBI—I was thrilled. Just like on television, I thought. After a few preliminaries, they asked what I thought of Marx. I said I had never met him. Not surprisingly, this Ugandan Muyindi had never heard of Karl Marx. “He’s dead.” I said, “I'm sorry, what happened?” “No, he died long ago.” I wondered why, then, the question. “Why, then, are you asking me?” They said that Marx believed that the money of rich people should be taken away and distributed to poor people. I said it sounded like a fine idea! At that point, they seemed to decide there was little point in continuing the conversation, and they left. That, however, was not the end of the story. I went to the library to look up Marx. Later, I would remind myself: the FBI intro- duced me to Karl Marx! This was 1965. It would mark my entry point into the civil rights movement.
