Pals in Tāmaki Makaurau, do you have hairdresser recommendations (preferably in the central city or nearby suburbs)? Have decided to get my hair cut short again, after three years growing it out.

Did my first bit of Christmas shopping from Pepper last night (plus a gift for myself, retail over the festive season is exhausting and stressy so I need treats too!)
I love buying gifts for people from artists and local creatives - gives me the warm fuzzies all around.
I never do sales, but I'm doing a big Christmas sale this year! Shop #kikorangi local, support an artist, and give unique gifts that always hit with their recipient!

Get in and snag bundle deals, marked down tees, and restocked items that were previously sold out: pepperraccoon.com/collections/...

Sadly I don't have any pets (renting and in a small apartment), though I really want cats. Hoping the next place we move to is pet friendly.
#SecretSantaAoNZ is a great chance to get to know not only your future Santee but also everyone else taking part. I will be posting up questions you can reply to or quote to help with sleuthing.
(PS photos for this particular question are always appreciated)

Dentist appointment tomorrow morning since I have an awful toothache. It has been a while since my last dental appointment and I know I need to make a plan for future dental stuff because my teeth are super messed up.

Enamoured Books was vibing today for Aotearoa Bookshop Day. There was tea, music, give-aways and tattoos! I got this cute dragon tea tattoo from Kat from Styx and Stones Tattoo. Alex from The Fox's Mark was booked for the day by the time I made it up the line but will book in studio later.

Back in Auckland this evening. Christchurch holiday was very good for relaxing and being around my fellow book obsessives.
Was going to unpack and do laundry tonight but will leave that for tomorrow morning.

Saw on my library's app that my hold for the new @oliviawrites.bsky.social book arrived this afternoon. Think I'll pack it to take on my short holiday next weekend since I'll have a bit of time of travelling by plane/car passenger.

I just finished reading this book today and I know I use the term delightful a lot but this book was an absolute delight to read. I wish I could give it to my teen self.
