Trump's Education Department gave states/schools 10 days to certify they were banning DEI on Thursday or risk losing Title I funding. New York State (and Chicago) have said no.

All I keep thinking about is how Pete Hegseth raised questions of the competency of a Black four-star general and Air Force fighter pilot who was the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Hegseth asked did he get the job “because of his skin color? Or his skill? We’ll never know, but always doubt.”

Because of cuts to the National Park Service, the hours of the Manzanar prison camp have been reduced. The camp was where Japanese Americans were detained during World War II. At the same time, webpages that remember Japanese-American infantry units have been removed.
