I am convinced America crossed an event horizon thirteen years ago, when even the deaths of elementary school aged children at the hands of a monster weren't enough for their government to say "enough is enough". Hard not to think that Americans would rather have their guns over their children.

Since I've stopped buying from Amazon, I recently bought a couple of things from eBay. Came in Amazon packaging. One item came with an Amazon receipt inside. No answer from the retailer as to why. Anyone else noticing this?

It's good news - only 7% are anti-science.
Overall trust in scientists and medical professionals is still rather high (Pew 2024). And only about 7% of American/Canadian respondents in a study (Gravelle 2022) are stridently anti-vax.

The reality, of course, is that Miller and a significant portion of Trump’s base are the ones who failed to assimilate to America’s post-WWII culture of multi-racial democracy & religious pluralism…and they are now using their power to destroy that once dominant (and still popular) American culture.
